A little about me.

World is One .

Greetings, and welcome to my student portfolio website. My name is Diego Enrique, and I am a second-generation Mexican-American, born and raised in Los Angeles. I have a diverse background, being a single father and growing up in Southern California. My roots trace back to a humble small town in Guadalajara, known for its Tequila production and vibrant mariachi culture—a true grassroots community.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I have a wide range of hobbies and interests. Martial arts, cooking, calisthenics, surfing, bike riding, agriculture, art, music, cryptocurrency, robots, soccer, and traveling are just a few of my passions. These activities allow me to explore different facets of life and continuously broaden my horizons.

While initially trained in the culinary arts, I have embarked on a career change into the tech industry with a specific focus on cybersecurity. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to travel extensively for work-related trips, such as Hawaii and New York. These experiences have exposed me to a variety of cuisines and allowed me to work alongside exceptional chefs. Through these collaborations, I developed skills in cultivating a positive team culture, leading by example, and leveraging the strengths of employees.

However, technology has always fascinated me, and it has become my second passion. From artificial intelligence to creating automation projects for agriculture, I am captivated by the endless possibilities. As a result, my primary focus lies in the field of cybersecurity. Through this lens, I aim to expand my knowledge and embark on innovative projects that contribute to the ever-evolving landscape of technology.

To further develop my expertise, I have undergone training as a system administrator with Google's professional support and obtained a Linux certification. I have hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows machines and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additionally, I have familiarity with Azure Active Directory, virtual machines, and IT support roles, complemented by my ability to provide bilingual customer service.

In pursuit of continuous learning, I actively engage with online platforms and maintain my own lab environment, utilizing tools like AWS EC2, network/port scanning, Metasploit, and Kali Linux for basic penetration testing. I have also completed various training courses, including Hack the Box, TryHackMe, and Python projects. Currently, I am attending the California Institute of Arts and Technology, while simultaneously working towards my CompTIA A+ certification.

Furthermore, I am passionate about supporting causes that promote brain injury awareness and autism. These are areas close to my heart, and I actively contribute to initiatives that advocate for these important causes.

Thank you for visiting my student portfolio website, where I showcase my journey of personal and professional growth. I invite you to explore my work and achievements, and I look forward to connecting with you.
